Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data analyst role.
  • Prior experience with healthcare data and/or quality reporting required.
  • Prior experience with a Clinically Integrated Network preferred.

Environmental / Working Conditions
Works in a well-lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs of the department. Normal work hours are from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. This position reports directly to the department director.
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position requires close and constant interaction with different customers across a variety of hospital departments and external entities.

Job Description
CI Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and optimizing population data used to help drive strategic decisions and work activities for the network.  Working extensively with multiple data sources, this Data Analyst will support population health initiatives by gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to CI Director and Board of Managers.  This individual will help develop and drive clinical improvement and efficiency strategies through influential delivery of actionable analytics and communicate data to internal and external stakeholders.  This position will provide support for the UMC CIN, the UMC ACO, and other duties assigned.  This position will report directly to the Director of Clinical Integration.

Required Licensures/ Certifications/ Registrations
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or finance

Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with data modeling, trend analysis, and statistical reporting.  The data analyst must be proficient in use of databases, excel and visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, etc.).  The candidate should also demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills, including ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding.
