  • General Job / Performance Information
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Graduate or equivalent is preferred. Two years exposure to grounds maintenance skills which include minimal plumbing and electrical work experience. Irrigation Tech license preferred. Supervisory skills required. Must be 21 or older.
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • This position is mostly subject to outside environmental condition, however, may be required to be indoors occasionally. Occasionally may require work with chemical hazards and environmental hazards (i.e. noisy environment, with infectious agents, near power supplies/machinery). Danger from falls, cuts and abrasions is present. Subject to callbacks at all times. Working various shifts may be required.

  • Job Description
    • Performs a variety of duties in and around the hospital complex to insure that the grounds and landscaping is maintained in a professional manner. These items include, but are not limited to, irrigation repair, concrete and paver repair, and sod installation.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
    • Texas Driver’s License with a clean record is required.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Work is of medium demand (ie. walking, climbing, and stooping, physical exertion and heavy lifting on occasion).
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Requires skills for minor plumbing, electrical, landscape equipment repair and maintenance. Requires a good knowledge of landscape materials and pest control.
