  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting from an accredited 4 year college or university
    • Experience in public accounting or in health care accounting
    • Knowledge in and experience with personal computers and related software including Excel and Access
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • This position is subject to inside environmental conditions; Protection from weather conditions, not necessarily from temperature changes.

        • Total subordinate staff 0
        • Total Indirect reporting staff (employees supervised by a subordinate supv.) 0
      • Money Management:
        • Budget or Appropriation (The amount of money the employee controls)0
  • Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
    • Daily interaction with other staff within the Accounting department. Frequent contact with department directors and upper-level management for obtaining and reporting information used for decision making. Occasional need to be able to train others in performing tasks and understanding information.

  • Job Description
    • Assist in routine operations of the Financial Analysis department and completion of special projects as requested.
  • Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
    • Certified Public Accountant preferred, but not required.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Must be able to read printed materials and computer screens. Must be able to transact business in person and on the phone. Must be able to converse in person and on the phone. Must be able to pick up printed material and the phone. Must be able to reach across printers to retrieve printed material. Must be able to lift minimal weights. Must be able to retrieve files or books in lower drawers and shelves. Must have hand mobility in order to key data. Must be able to transport themselves to printers. Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Verbal ability required to understand and apply principles and procedures of Accounting. Numerical ability to perform rapid and accurate arithmetic computations with or without adding machine or calculator. Clerical ability required to detect and avoid errors in posting figures between accounts. Ability to operate computer terminal, calculator by touch, and computer. Ability to post and compute figures and prepare financial statements following standard methods and procedures. Ability to respond to ever changing needs and situations.
