  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of a high school diploma and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, engineering, business management or finance.
    • Experience with computerized applications, including word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • This position is subject to normal inside conditions (i.e., protected from weather conditions, not necessarily from temperature changes).
  • Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
    • Interacts on a daily basis with department heads and their employees. As directed, provides both written and verbal reports to both middle and upper management staff.
  • Job Description
    • The Purchasing Manager is responsible for improving operations between other departments and the areas of Purchasing, Warehouse, and Central Supply. This position will train and supervise Buyers and Contract Administrator to ensure proper education on procedures; manage the procurement for all supplies, equipment and services through a centralized purchasing process. Additional duties include: ensuring compliance with GPO initiatives; negotiating and maintaining local pricing agreements; administering and maintaining contract files for items like capital acquisitions, service agreements, copier contracts, etc,

    • None
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Visual acuity required continuously. Auditory acuity required continuously. Ability to speak is required frequently. Sitting, walking, and standing are frequent, and bending and carrying are occasional. Lifting/carrying requirements are light to medium.
