  • PART I - General Job / Performance Information
  • Education and Experience
    • Two or more years of recruitment experience. Prefer bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • This position is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions, not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
    • Employee works extensively with department directors throughout the hospital in addition to people and organizations throughout the community.
  • Job Description
    • The function of the Recruitment Specialist is to seek out secure qualified candidates and interview and screen job applicants who meet employer qualifications to keep the hospital optimally staffed. The position requires demographic data research and aggressive recruitment in areas where there is greater access to a qualified minority workforce. The Recruitment Specialist will also perform a variety of services including employee relations, counseling and training functions as assigned for specific areas of the hospital.
    • In addition to this, the recruitment Specialist must have experience with applicant tracking systems (healthcare source or Taleo).
    • Public speaking skills which will be used while hosting in-house orientation
    • Actively participate in job fairs.
    • Stay up to date on current recruitment trends and software.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Hearing and visual acuity and clear speech patterns are necessary. Work is of medium to high demand; frequent walking and prolonged periods of sitting, lifting requirements to 30 pounds less than 20% of the time. Occasionally exerts a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, and move some objects. Hours may be occasionally irregular to accommodate department needs. Must be able to handle problems, interruptions, and other stressful situations.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills.
