  • PART I - General Job / Performance Information
  • Education and Experience
    • Must have a degree in MIS, CS, related field, or a minimum of two years experience in supporting, maintaining and managing datacenter systems.
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • Work in confined areas throughout the hospital. Also requires work in construction areas. Requires travel to PNS affiliated clinics within a 100 mile radius of the hospital. Must provide own transportation, mileage will be reimbursed at current UMC rates.
    • This position must be available on a 24x7 basis. Participation in call rotation is required. When not on call times may exist that emergencies warrant after hours work
  • Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
    • Must work extensively with all other departments within UMC and PNS. Work with technology vendors and installation personnel. Coordinate technology solution installation with appropriate IT and business groups.
  • Job Description
    • This position is responsible for installing and maintaining datacenter based IT Services. These services are delivered to UMC Health System and must be maintained with the upmost professional and technical ability. This position is also responsible delivering system uptime through best practices, UMC policies and extensive technical knowledge.
  • Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
    • Prefer technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCITP, Comptia security, etc.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to lift equipment that should not exceed 50 lbs. Ability to walk to all areas of the hospital and TTUHSC areas. Ability to drive to all remote locations as required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • The ability to design, plan, organize and troubleshoot technical solutions. Must possess the ability to self educate and learn about emerging technologies. Must also possess a self starting attitude that is dedicated to seeing a project through completion.
