Education and Experience
 
Bachelor’s degree in a medical or information systems field is required but clinical licensure or technical certifications with a minimum of 5 years of experience may be substituted.
                 
Environmental / Working Conditions
 
Works in a well-lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs of other departments. Many system management functions can only be performed during non-peak hours. Normal work hours are from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
 
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
 
This position requires close interaction with performance improvement, case management /social services, physicians, nurses, and other ancillary departments in order to facilitate a quality multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
 
Job Description
 
The Quality/Regulatory Systems Analyst is responsible for all aspects around the design, build, implementation and maintenance of their assigned clinical information systems. An in depth knowledge of their assigned applications is expected in order to answer questions from users and troubleshoot problems. This position is also expected to document workflow processes and collaborate with defined departments to streamline process efficiency. 
 
Required Licensures/ Certifications/ Registrations
 
ITIL Foundations is preferred.
 
Minimum qualifications include experience in a health care related field or information systems.
A current license from the Texas State Board within the field of their clinical experience, if applicable.
 
Skills and Abilities
 
The ability to communicate with end users to ensure that customer needs are understood and appropriate decisions are facilitated. Knowledge of best practice guidelines in a variety of clinical settings related to documentation, practices and care delivery protocols. Have experience with monitoring and maintaining a production information system, along with PC skills and an understanding of commonly used software packages. Possess an understanding of basic networking and PC communication protocols.
 
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills along with the ability to work in a team environment and independently. This Quality/Regulatory Systems Analyst must be able to maintain good relationships with providers, clinical staff, support staff and other departments in order to elicit information necessary to optimize clinical work processes and keep systems performing at a high level.
